I can really relate to this post from one of my favourite Hermes influencers. She is also a doctorate and working as a psychologist.

“Long post warning, but I really want to share this today.
A few years ago and again recently got reminded, I learned it is not my concern when people feel intimidated or threatened.
Look here; I don’t live my life trying to make others uncomfortable or demeaned; that would be…just..mean.
Who has time for that?Know this: I’m never trying to “one-up” ANYONE…EVER! It’s just that I love to read, work very hard, and have been blessed with a brain that works well (for me). I never attempt to overshadow any other person in any situation.
When people are jealous, they may subconsciously feel like they’re inadequate or that you’re to blame for taking away their spotlight. Get out of here, I say!
Even so, we still have to be kind.
At the end of it all, your feeling threatened will not manipulate me!
At the same time, I don’t live my life to make people feel comfortable around me other than walking in love and kindness.
If I know an answer to a problem – and it’s my place to share it – I will share it.

So yeah, to the jealous ones, you can continue to stay jealous. To the haters, you just have to keep on hating because that’s literally all you can do right? I may not love to read but love to learn, work very hard, and have been blessed with a brain that works well for me. Just because you don’t see how hard I work does not diminish the hard work I put in. The amount of time and effort to put in myself to grow and get stronger will show in the results that I achieved. In fact, most of it are not linear because I put way more effort than what I actually achieved. I will need constant reminders to have self compassion in myself.
I guess when you reach the stage/point of life when people are actually jealous of you are even hating you, it means you are already out of the level that you no longer need to stay with such people. You are already out of their league. So the next time someone said something rude and shows jealousy, I’m just going to take the advice from Sara Jane Ho in her Mind Your Manners book and asked “Are you okay?”
Lastly, if being envious or jealous or hatred is all you know, then I don’t think we are at the same level that we should be knowing each other. Bye.

I went to i light festival 2 times this year. It’s the 10th year anniversary so the exhibits are actually quite nice. It’s also bigger too. I went to Marina Bay area to explore the exhibits on 1 of the days. Then sometime later, I went to Tanjong Pagar area with Alex and Jin Quan.
It’s funny how my ID saw me when I was at Marina Bay area. She probably saw me with a guy but I didn’t explain further. Lol. Doesn’t matter anyway since I rejected him liao… 😡

I’m getting quite motivated to post more photos on Instagram since Alex and Jin Quan started the trend recently. So I thought why not post some of my old photos that I haven’t got time to edit/process them. Since I am making the effort to edit them, why not post it on Instagram then blog about it here right? Haha.
I went to USA last November/December for my business trip. I extended the trip to visit Disneyland at Anaheim, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
On Thanksgiving day, I have to make sure that I reach office as early as I can. I think I left the hotel at 6am and reached at 630am (before my director reached the office). We also managed to catch the sunrise in office and I took some photos of it. My colleagues told me in advance that there is a nice sunrise that can be seen from our seats so I brought my camera and tripod to try to take photos of the sunrise.
Before the sunrise, I also saw the stars. It’s something that I don’t get to see often in Singapore, especially with the huge amount of light pollution.
Most restaurants were closed for Thanksgiving Day so it was difficult to get dinner on that day. Luckily one of our colleagues sent us a list of places that is still open on Thanksgiving Day and we managed to get dinner at one of the places. The food is really nice too. One of the best meals I had in Phoenix for sure.

I went out with Geck Keat last week and we wanted to explore the roof garden at Capitagreen. Unfortunately it was only open on Tuesdays so we left in disappointment. Then we went to Victoria Concert Hall to take photos and also explore around Orchard. We definitely walked a lot that day.
I think Geck Keat was so tired since she was wearing slip-ons. But she still manage to find the energy to go jogging after meeting me.

I went to “The Chanel Parfumeur – Exclusive Series” exhibition with Evelyn. She invited me when she got the SMS about the event. It was my first time visiting a Chanel perfume event so I agreed.
It’s quite an interesting experience and they were showcasing their Exclusive Series perfume range – similar to Hermessence. I thought their perfume is more expensive than Hermes but when I went to check the prices, I think it is comparable to Hermessence. Lol…
Anyway, sharing some photos I took and uploaded on Instagram here for memories sake. I didn’t upload all of them though, only the ones without my face and are memorable. Some of my photos taken by Evelyn is making me look like some influencer/model. She is really good at taking photos. Makes me wonder if I can switch career roles to modelling. LOL. 🙂 Probably cause I also glow up quite a bit which was what some of my ex-colleagues and friends have mentioned. The glow up is much more visible after April. Somehow April is like the major glow up month for me. Hahaha.
