Sephora at Takashimaya has reopened and it comes with free skincare analysis. A beauty advisor offered to do a free skincare analysis and I agreed. She didn’t show me the results but she explained it to me. She told me that my skin is moisturised. Whee! All these years of diligently applying my skincare stuff has paid off. I need to continue it to ensure that it is always moisturised.

In addition, I did the skincare test from Laneige and they mentioned that my skin is less moisturised than people of my age group (in 20s) but have much higher clarity. Well, good skin is a long term investment indeed, especially when I don’t go to facials… other than the free ones I get from Sulwhasoo once or twice a year?

Have you been taking care of your skin? If no, maybe my skincare regime over the years can inspired you?

I think I am going to blog about my skin care regime once a year. It is quite interesting how I have upgraded my skin care over the years too and how I have came back to the same kind of products – like how I started using Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum in 2014 and paused for a while before returning to it in late 2018/2019. Also how long I have been using Laneige White Dew Ampoule Essence (previously known as Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence) since 2014 and still using now. Oh, and not to forget my Clarins sunscreen which is my all-time favourite. I will use it when I get it at a discount.

I probably wouldn’t realised until I look at my old blog posts. I have italics those that I have been using for a long time and will continue to use it.

I have blog about it in my previous posts before:

    So here it goes…

    Day care

    1. Cleanser (I’m currently using Fancl Washing Powder)
    2. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX
    3. Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing eye cream
    4. Innisfree Green Tea Serum or Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence
    5. Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
    6. Roche Posay UVIDEA XL Aqua Fresh Gel SPF50 (I only bought one bottle and not going to buy now) or Clarins UV Plus Sunscreen (White version)
    7. Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion EX or Diorskin Forever Perfect Cushion or NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Cushion Foundation (I don’t recommend this though. Not something that I will buy again.)
    8. Orbis Sunscreen Powder or Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral Powder Sunscreen

    Night care

    1. Makeup remover
    2. Cleanser (I’m currently using Fancl Washing Powder)
    3. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX
    4. Any masks that I happened to buy (which is a huge range so I’m not going to list them here)
    5. Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture
    6. Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing eye cream
    7. Laneige White Dew Ampoule Essence
    8. Innisfree Green Tea Serum or Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence

    Damage*: S$1072

*I’m following the prices I found online and not the ones that I actually paid for. I always do my due diligence when it comes to buying the products and where+when to buy them. So what I paid for might be significantly lesser…I also excluded the prices of my face masks since I have been using samples now and sometimes some face masks from Innisfree.

Seems like my damage to my wallet has increased over the years. Well, my Sulwhasoo products aren’t cheap so oh well… Most of my skin care products are stuff that I have been using for a long time too…

Yay for discounts! Innisfree is having 15% discount for its Premium members and 10% discount for its Welcome (New) members. I went to the store and planning to get just 1 face mask. I ended up getting the Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater boosting ampoule, the Smart Drawing blusher and my new found favourite mineral setting powder.

Haha. I should stop buying Innisfree products since I am going to Seoul this year. I can just get them in bulk and tax-free when I go shopping in Seoul. Laneige, Innisfree and Sulwhasoo, here I come!

I was going through some of my old blog posts and I realised that it’s been quite some time since I blogged about my skin care regime! My last blog post on my skin care regime is back in 2014 in this post. Anyway, it’s time for a checkin status on my current skincare regime. I have become lazier over the last 2 years too. Hehe.

I’m going to follow the similar format of my old blog post… Well, to keep things consistent (actually it’s cause I’m lazy to come up with a new format, hehehe)

    Day care

    1. Cleanser (I’m currently using Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser)
    2. Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture (I’m still using it after so many years so you know this must be one of my holy grail products!)
    3. Sulwhasoo Essential Rejuvenating Eye Cream EX
    4. Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence or Laneige Water Bank Essence EX
    5. Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
    6. Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion
    7. Belif Sun Powder

    Night care

    1. Cleanser (I’m currently using Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser)
    2. Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mask or Innsifree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Mask or Eucerin scrub or Innisfree Jeju Volcanic pore strips or CNP Laboratory pore strips or Innisfree Second Skin masks (I used one of these products occasionally)
    3. Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture (I’m still using it after so many years so you know this must be one of my holy grail products!)
    4. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX (I hardly use it but I still use it when I am not that lazy, hahaha)
    5. Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence or Laneige Water Bank Essence EX
    6. Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream

Most of the products are the ones that I have been using for many years and I’m still using them. My holy grail products are as follows:

There are some products that I doubt I will be buying as I want to keep my costs low and find cheaper alternatives:

I do need to look for a new eye cream after I finish my Sulwhasoo one. Any recommendations?

Now that I am in my mid twenties, I have started using more makeup. Well, I’m actually starting to like makeup. Hehe. I even got myself proper foundation and lip brushes! Maybe I will blog about my makeup routine on weekends in future. I don’t wear much makeup on weekdays, other than the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion.
