I was going through some of my old blog posts and I realised that it’s been quite some time since I blogged about my skin care regime! My last blog post on my skin care regime is back in 2014 in this post. Anyway, it’s time for a checkin status on my current skincare regime. I have become lazier over the last 2 years too. Hehe.
I’m going to follow the similar format of my old blog post… Well, to keep things consistent (actually it’s cause I’m lazy to come up with a new format, hehehe)
Day care
- Cleanser (I’m currently using Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser)
- Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture (I’m still using it after so many years so you know this must be one of my holy grail products!)
- Sulwhasoo Essential Rejuvenating Eye Cream EX
- Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence or Laneige Water Bank Essence EX
- Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
- Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion
- Belif Sun Powder
Night care
- Cleanser (I’m currently using Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser)
- Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mask or Innsifree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Mask or Eucerin scrub or Innisfree Jeju Volcanic pore strips or CNP Laboratory pore strips or Innisfree Second Skin masks (I used one of these products occasionally)
- Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture (I’m still using it after so many years so you know this must be one of my holy grail products!)
- Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX (I hardly use it but I still use it when I am not that lazy, hahaha)
- Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence or Laneige Water Bank Essence EX
- Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
Most of the products are the ones that I have been using for many years and I’m still using them. My holy grail products are as follows:
- Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture
- Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence
- Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
- Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion
- Belif Sun Powder
- Innsifree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Mask
There are some products that I doubt I will be buying as I want to keep my costs low and find cheaper alternatives:
- Sulwhasoo Essential Rejuvenating Eye Cream EX
- Laneige Water Bank Essence EX
I do need to look for a new eye cream after I finish my Sulwhasoo one. Any recommendations?
Now that I am in my mid twenties, I have started using more makeup. Well, I’m actually starting to like makeup. Hehe. I even got myself proper foundation and lip brushes! Maybe I will blog about my makeup routine on weekends in future. I don’t wear much makeup on weekdays, other than the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion.

I always read people’s blog posts and watch Youtube videos about skincare but as much as I want to buy and apply every good product I’ve seen, I always feel lazy. I feel like I’d rather read blogs than take my time in putting these products. Haha But now that my skin sucks, I should probably get off my ass and start doing skincare routine.

Wow, that’s a lot of products. I’m trying to take better care of my skin this year, but I’m not good at putting time into it. I’ve been using a couple of things though, so hopefully it helps!

I haven’t tried any of those, but yay for finding stuff you like! =3

I’ m very lazy when it comes to having a skin care routine. I’ve never tried the products you use but there’s a first time for everything, I guess. Hopefully I’ll be a little more consistent in the future.

So do I….but sadly pretty much all keyboard covers have the american or european buttons layout, whereas I need an italian layout. :hk_sad:

Hi! I’ve seen you around a few of my friends’ blogs, so I thought I’d stop by and visit.
Don’t get me wrong, but it seems that I have seen you and your domain before. I think we probably spoke before too. I’m trying to remember which site I had before, but I think it was with a J-Pop boy band fansite that I used to own before. I used to go by the name “Eri” before. But if you don’t remember, that’s okay, don’t mind me. Haha!
A few of my friends are hyping up about Korean skincare, but as a person who have been using the Japanese skincare routine for almost 20 years now, reading about them, they’re very similar to each other. I also go by the cleanser -> (exfoliator/mask) -> toner -> essence prep lotion -> serum -> gel cream/moisturizer routine too. I know it’s a lot of work, even my mom thinks I’m being ridiculous for using so many (expensive) skincare products, but as a person who doesn’t wear any makeup (the nature of my workplace doesn’t require us to “doll up”), I still need to keep my youth as much as I can. I turned 40 last October. XD
I may look into Korean skincare products, but I’m currently happy with DHC for the longest time. ^^

Wow that’s pretty cool. I have no “real” regiment that I go through. I just wash my face with water and put lotion, haha! I’d love to do more but I get up so early in the morning and barely have time to make breakfast. Also I’m cheap and trying my best to not spend a lot of money. Proper skin care sounds like a lot of money that I’m not willing to invest in. I guess I might pay for it further down the line…

I wish I had money to invest those skin care regimen, but usually my skin is fine except for flare ups with pimples. Argh, and I am totally lazy, too lol
