I recently watched “Get Smart with Money” documentary on YouTube. It’s quite interesting and it talks about investment, how to reduce loan, how to do side hustle to increase income, reduce costs via meal prep and etc.

1 of the key lessons that I find it quite increasing is to invest in index funds like S&P500. In addition, the 4 questions one should ask before purchasing something. I think it’s quite useful for me haha. 😀

    1. Do you need it?
    2. Do you love it?
    3. Do you like it?
    4. Do you want it?

The first 2 questions helps you improve financial health, etc. I can’t remember the exact term but it’s like a necessary spending. The last 2 questions do not help you in financial health and you shouldn’t spend on those.

It’s quite interesting and I highly recommend everyone to watch it. 🙂

I had my haircut yesterday at The Space Korean Hair Salon. Well, I am not going back to Dusol Beauty hair salon because my usual hairstylist, Mikhaela, is no longer working there. Not sure which hairstylist I can go for but I have been on a lookout for another hairstylist I can go for regularly.

I tried Zinc Korean Hair Salon and somehow I didn’t like that I don’t get to choose my bangs style. The hairstylist, Rena, also cut my hair while it is wet. It gets a bit cold when that happens and I have to request her to blowdry it a little.

So I opt for Jenny at The Space Korean Hair Salon and nope, I am not going back. My haircut wasn’t that bad but it is not worth S$48. She hardly do any layering. In fact, there was no layering until I requested her to cut my back hair shorter and with some layering. Oh well. Not going back there again…

The salon is also quite crowded and I spent quite a bit of time waiting. In the end, the whole thing just took 45mins. Pretty fast for a haircut with wash and blow. It typically take at least 1 hour. Even while blowdrying my hair, the hairstylist were just talking and talking. My hair keeps flying towards my eyes and irritate my eyes so I have to close my eyes.

Oh, the hairstylist is the one who is washing my hair which is quite odd. Usually you will get another person washing your hair and blowdrying your hir.

Well, I didn’t have a good experience at The Space Korean Hair Salon. Cutting hair used to be relaxing with nice head massages and stuff but the experience at The Space Korean Hair Salon is so bad that you might as well go for your S$10 haircut instead. It’s simply too overrated.

I think I am going to blog about my skin care regime once a year. It is quite interesting how I have upgraded my skin care over the years too and how I have came back to the same kind of products – like how I started using Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum in 2014 and paused for a while before returning to it in late 2018/2019. Also how long I have been using Laneige White Dew Ampoule Essence (previously known as Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence) since 2014 and still using now. Oh, and not to forget my Clarins sunscreen which is my all-time favourite. I will use it when I get it at a discount.

I probably wouldn’t realised until I look at my old blog posts. 🙂 I have italics those that I have been using for a long time and will continue to use it.

I have blog about it in my previous posts before:

    So here it goes…

    Day care

    1. Cleanser (I’m currently using Fancl Washing Powder)
    2. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX
    3. Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing eye cream
    4. Innisfree Green Tea Serum or Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence
    5. Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
    6. Roche Posay UVIDEA XL Aqua Fresh Gel SPF50 (I only bought one bottle and not going to buy now) or Clarins UV Plus Sunscreen (White version)
    7. Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion EX or Diorskin Forever Perfect Cushion or NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Cushion Foundation (I don’t recommend this though. Not something that I will buy again.)
    8. Orbis Sunscreen Powder or Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral Powder Sunscreen

    Night care

    1. Makeup remover
    2. Cleanser (I’m currently using Fancl Washing Powder)
    3. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX
    4. Any masks that I happened to buy (which is a huge range so I’m not going to list them here)
    5. Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture
    6. Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing eye cream
    7. Laneige White Dew Ampoule Essence
    8. Innisfree Green Tea Serum or Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence

    Damage*: S$1072

*I’m following the prices I found online and not the ones that I actually paid for. I always do my due diligence when it comes to buying the products and where+when to buy them. So what I paid for might be significantly lesser…I also excluded the prices of my face masks since I have been using samples now and sometimes some face masks from Innisfree.

Seems like my damage to my wallet has increased over the years. Well, my Sulwhasoo products aren’t cheap so oh well… Most of my skin care products are stuff that I have been using for a long time too…

Yay, it’s a public holiday again. I’m loving public holidays more because that means I get to wake up late.

Now that I have finished school (and still working), I am a bit confused what else to do. Well, I know I am still working but I need something to excite my mundane lifestyle.

I went to watch Crazy Rich Asians with Chin Hau today. Hehe, our first movie date. Come to think of it… We usually eat more at our dates than do other stuff (although we do actually do other stuff other than eating). Quite interesting to see how charmed he was on the movie. Hehe, sneaky Sakura in the making when she steal glances at him…

Crazy Rich Asians is actually quite a nice movie and it is nice to see Singapore landscape on the big screen too. I don’t think I have seen Singapore in the big screen for so many instances. Actually Singapore is quite nice indeed. If you have not touched Crazy Rich Asians, do watch it soon! It’s like a proud work by asians and lots of Singapore parts to it! I feel so proud now. Whee~

The plot though… Is kind of unrealistic. Well, to be frank, I find the ending very rushed. Like… Just because Rachel went to talk to Nick’s mother and said she backed out because she don’t want to strain the relationship of Nick and his family then her mother decided to give them her blessings? Like seriously?! Maybe the book is more in-depth and the movie is just too rushed. I find it quite draggy at the start though. Oh, and Fiona Xie’s character, Kitty Pong, is kind of surprising. Like such an obvious of gold digging. I think Fiona has the body and seductive expression to portray the character very well too.

What do you think of the movie (after you have watched it)?

I went to Seiwaa Okonomiyaki & Teppanyaki Restaurant with Alex and Jin Quan on last Thursday (24 May 2018). It is so much better than Ajiya

It’s going to be my favourite okonomiyaki place in Singapore. 🙂 I’m definitely going back there again.

We kind of over-ordered. I think we ordered 2 okonomiyaki (pork and tom yum), 1 seafood teppanyaki set (for 2 people) and 1 monjayaki (chicken). All these amount of food for 3 people. And it is still cheaper than going for the buffet option too. Haha.

I also used my new Panasonic LX10 for this trip and here are the photos I took. Seriously though, the selfies taken using the camera is superb. The bokeh is amazing! Just think of iPhone portrait lighting mode but you do not need to hold it so far away and the bokeh effect is much better.

Anyway, I don’t upload photos of myself online so here are the rest of the photos – mainly food cause it is a food trip after all. 😀

I cooked the bottom okonomiyaki! The tom yum one. I’m a better chef than Alex. Well, this is probably the first time Alex cook something. Jin Quan don’t even cook at all. Lol…

Lesson learnt: Don’t go Seiwaa with people who can’t cook at all unless you want to cook the whole meal. Lololol.
