It was 23 degree celsius last Sunday. This Sunday, it became 33 degree celsius. 10 degree difference in a span of a week. I am not sure if I prefer the cold weather of 23 degree celsius or just the hot weather of 33 degree celsius. Can I have somewhere in between? :disappointed: 28 degree celsius is very much preferred. #SakuraPreferredWeather

I met Huiling 2 days back (Friday, 19 January 2018) and the last time we met was around 1 year ago (the pre-CNY period). Seems like it has became a tradition and we are determined to break it this year. Haha, definitely need to meet up with her more often.

Original plan was to have Beauty in a Pot for dinner but silly/naive me forgot to reserve a seat so by the time I do a walk-in, they said that the next available slot is at 1030pm. Eh, I did a walk-in at 745pm and I have to wait for a few hrs just to have my dinner?! Erm no thanks.

So we went to 49 Seats for dinner instead. It was recommended by Huiling and whoa, she has good recommendations! The food was nice and the environment is pretty chill too. I’m not a picky eater so I am good with most food options.

Huiling ordered smoked duck pasta while I ordered tom yam seafood pasta. Both of us went for meal set which gave us soup of the day (mushroom soup) and iced lemon tea. We also ordered the salted egg popcorn chicken to share too. Lucky Huiling got the 30% discount (maximum discount) when she spun the wheel of discounts too. If it was me, I doubt I will be getting any discount… That’s how “lucky” I am when it comes to getting discounts… :stressed:

The interior design of the place is also pretty cool too! Just look at the cool decorations on the wall (see below for the photo)!

Will I go there again? Yes definitely for a relaxing TGIF meal or weekend meal.

However, if you are a picky eater and wants superb western food, I wouldn’t recommend you to visit 49 Seats.

So after we had our dinner, I went to get one of my favourite chocolate milk tea with pearls from Koi before we embark on our walking HTHT (heart to heart talk) session. It’s nice to walk and chat at the same time. It’s even better to have a Koi drink on my hands while doing that. Life’s simplest pleasures aren’t that expensive. I also clocked quite a number of calories and step count on my Apple Watch as well. Yay for a healthier lifestyle!

I went to Legoland with Huang Yin and Lay Lian during my Week of Rest last December. I have never been to Legoland so that is quite a refreshing trip. I have never been to Johor Bahru either so that’s my first trip to Johor Bahru too.

I took quite a number of photos and uploaded tons of it on my Instagram. So I shall let the photos do the talking now. Hehe.

    It’s Legoland!

Finally went to Legoland in Malaysia after it has opened for quite some time…

It’s the shipyard… in lego. Hahaha.

Quite cool to see a camel made of lego blocks…

Probably the worse chicken rice I ever had… And this costs around S$10… :(

We went during the Christmas season and they have this Christmas tree made of lego.

    Christmas tree at Legoland.

This somehow reminds me of Lee Kwang Soo… Hahaha.

I got myself the gold and silver lego keychains and a ice mould for lego. Hehe.

    Wow, so many lego keychains!

The lighthouse. I would love to get on top of it but seems like it is not allowed…

“Let us fix the banner up…”

Not exactly sure what is this…

    Fireman character in lego!

Look at those children having fun with water!

    Roarrrrr.

I actually went to check the souvenir shops and see if I can find any musical themed lego items. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any.

    Musical fountain, literally.

They have this special section called the Mini World which displays the famous buildings around the Asia (or was it Southeast Asia? I already forgot it…) The one for Singapore is huge. But the one for Malaysia is massive.

To be honest, I read about it and was quite excited to go there and take tons of photos at Mini World. Unfortunately, it is one of the last stations that we went at Legoland and we were running out of time since we have a 4ish pm bus to catch to go back to Singapore. So I had a mad rush to take as many photos as possible. But I think I missed out some exhibits though. Sigh. :sigh:

The old scenery of Singapore river, Merlion and Fullerton Hotel – in lego blocks.

    Another old scenery of Singapore…

I love Canon. Haha, just kidding. I love my Sony NEX-5R camera more (i.e. Sony) than my Canon compact camera. Hehe.

And now for the non-Singapore ones…

Forgot what is this but it reminded me of the palaces I visited in Seoul…

The famous Twin Towers from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

    Forgot what is this…

Bollywood dance with lego figurines, anyone? Hahaha.

The Perdana Putra building made in lego blocks. It’s the Prime Minister office in Malaysia in case you didn’t know…

    Karaweik Hall from Myanmar.

    Taking flight!

There are random figurines around Legoland when we move from 1 station to another station too…

    It’s parrots, in lego blocks!

    Anyone needs new swords?

Oh, I also took 2 rides when I was at Legoland. Hehe.

I don’t usually take rides but when I do, it is because it is not scary and I get to take nice photos.

The Merlin’s Beard ride. I used to love that Disney storybook but I have forgotten what is the title…

Of course there are other more exciting rides which I will never take…

No, I didn’t take this ride and will never take.

And lastly I saw this lovely wild flower (okay, probably it is not really wild) while on the way back to the bus stop for our bus back to Singapore…

Finally the last photo from my Legoland trip. Hehe. I wish I have my macro lens to take this photo…

I went Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum with Zhe Wei during my Week of Rest since both of us got free admissions as NUS staff (him) and student (me). I didn’t really upload much photos from the trip though since some are a bit not-so-nice for social media. I love those seashells though. Hehe.

This seashell has a very unique name. It’s called Triton’s Trumpet. Somehow it reminds me of a trumpet in a way. Hahaha.

Striped Helicostyla. What a nice set of seashells!

Real dinosaur fossils even though I don’t know what dinosaur it is.

Will I go there again? Definitely since it is free for me. Will I pay to go there again? Probably not. It’s a nice place for kids and intrigue them with the wonders of science and nature though. But I’m not a kid, hahaha.

I realised that I didn’t blog about my new Beoplay H3 ANC. Well, I got it from TANGS and got 6% cash rebate and S$25 gift card since I used my StanChart credit card to pay for it. It costs S$339 after discount but after all the rebates and gift card that I got, it became less than S$300. Well, that means I am less guilty of my purchase? Hahaha.

Anyway, it is an awesome looking earphones with a balanced sound. ANC sucks though but I’m not going to complain much with its superb sound quality. Okay, fine. Actually I am a bit regretting because of the poor ANC. But the next option is Bose QC20 and I am not really keen to get that because I already owned a QC25. Oh well… I am using it as frequently as I can now to make full use of my expensive purchase. Hopefully this is going to be the last expensive purchase that I am going to make in the next few months. I seriously need to save money… Bleh…

So now I am a proud owner of both Beoplay A2 and H3 ANC. I really love the sound quality of my Beoplay A2. It makes me want to stay in my bedroom all day long because of its hifi-like sound quality!

I was going through some of my old blog posts and I realised that it’s been quite some time since I blogged about my skin care regime! My last blog post on my skin care regime is back in 2014 in this post. Anyway, it’s time for a checkin status on my current skincare regime. I have become lazier over the last 2 years too. Hehe.

I’m going to follow the similar format of my old blog post… Well, to keep things consistent (actually it’s cause I’m lazy to come up with a new format, hehehe)

    Day care

    1. Cleanser (I’m currently using Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser)
    2. Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture (I’m still using it after so many years so you know this must be one of my holy grail products!)
    3. Sulwhasoo Essential Rejuvenating Eye Cream EX
    4. Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence or Laneige Water Bank Essence EX
    5. Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
    6. Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion
    7. Belif Sun Powder

    Night care

    1. Cleanser (I’m currently using Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser)
    2. Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Mask or Innsifree Jeju Volcanic Mousse Mask or Eucerin scrub or Innisfree Jeju Volcanic pore strips or CNP Laboratory pore strips or Innisfree Second Skin masks (I used one of these products occasionally)
    3. Muji Light Toning Water High Moisture (I’m still using it after so many years so you know this must be one of my holy grail products!)
    4. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX (I hardly use it but I still use it when I am not that lazy, hahaha)
    5. Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence or Laneige Water Bank Essence EX
    6. Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream

Most of the products are the ones that I have been using for many years and I’m still using them. My holy grail products are as follows:

There are some products that I doubt I will be buying as I want to keep my costs low and find cheaper alternatives:

I do need to look for a new eye cream after I finish my Sulwhasoo one. Any recommendations?

Now that I am in my mid twenties, I have started using more makeup. Well, I’m actually starting to like makeup. Hehe. I even got myself proper foundation and lip brushes! Maybe I will blog about my makeup routine on weekends in future. I don’t wear much makeup on weekdays, other than the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion.
