I have to say the highlight of this Hong Kong trip is the food. Not sure if it is a sightseeing trip or a food trip hahaha.

We went to Jenny’s Bakery because Lay Lian and Xiao Wei both want to get snacks back to Singapore. Jenny’s Bakery is located in a very ulu place and I spotted some interesting sights along the way too.

We managed to drop by to Hong Kong University as well. 😀 I always like to visit universities in the new country because of its architecture.

Very glad that Lay Lian and Xiao Wei agreed to spend a few hours here even though they are not that into universities. 🙂

I really like the contrast of this photo and the framing too.

It’s my first trip to Hong Kong and it was quite an experience.

I got a flu and sinus infection less than a week away from my flight and didn’t manage to recover in time. Then I still took the flight while having partial blocked nose. It was a terrible experience because I basically got blocked ears after that. Luckily it went away in half a day and I was with my friend, Xiao Wei, at that time. Her presence definitely calmed me down and not make me panicked due to blocked ears.

It was a 5-day trip and since I was not feeling well, I wasn’t able to enjoy much.

Just gonna post the photos here for memories sake. 😀

Xiao Wei wanted to get her sneakers so we went to the famous Sneaker Street.

The public transit is also quite interesting. There are some similar/exact names of our stations or roads in Hong Kong. Like Admiralty is in North South (red) line in Singapore and it is also red line in Hong Kong!

I have to say the public transit card is so cute!

Something random I spotted while exploring streets at Hong Kong…

I went to The World of Studio Ghibli with my friends, Rui Yun and Eunice, on 5 October 2024. We managed to secure tickets on the first day of ticket sales and using my MBS membership perks, we got 2 for price of 1 tickets. That means 3 tickets for the price of 2 tickets. 😀 Always happy to get savings. Haha.

Even happier when I have friends with similar interests to go for such exhibition with me. 🙂 I’m definitely counting my blessings. The older I get, the harder it is to find friends to hang out with. It’s even harder to make friends now. So glad that our friendship managed to last through 2 decades…

I’m seriously considering buying this skirt since it is the usual style of skirt that I like. Unfortunately I cannot try the size so I didn’t buy it.

After the exhibition, we went to So Pho at MBS for dinner.

I had a catch up with one of my colleagues after a long time over lunch on Friday and she was sharing about renovation for her current place as well as properties in general. I went to Ashley’s place for dinner catchup on Friday evening and we were talking about property investment in Indonesia, India and Singapore. I went to Lynn’s housewarming on Saturday afternoon and again, the topic on properties came up again.

Wow, have I reached the age whereby it is normal and very common to talk about properties or am I just attracting the same topic again and again? Hmm…

I guess… Welcome to the new era where every social gathering will cover the topic of property and asset accumulation? Lololol.

That’s also when you know you really is becoming older… I also noticed that I enjoyed just chit chatting with friends over a simple meal at their homes or just one of the homes. No need to go fancy cafe or anything to chat unlike in the past…
