I went to visit Hyundai Innovation Centre when I went to Na Oh restaurant for lunch with Zi Jian. Well, he brought me around for an unofficial tour since he works in Hyundai. Definitely a good catch up. I received tips on how to take care of the house and housework tips.
He invited me to see his temporary home as he is currently staying with his inlaws. It’s a really nice dual key condo apartment at a high floor with really good city view of Singapore.
It was also my first time seeing how a robot vacuum is running. Quite impressed by it and I’m excited to be getting one in future. 😀

There’s a new Korean restaurant opened in Singapore recently and it is also fine dining style. It’s like $78++ for a 4-course meal if I remember correctly and wow, it is worth every penny.
However, it was very difficult to book and you have to book 1 month in advance and at midnight. I didn’t manage to but I’m glad that my friend, Zijian, was able to. Furthermore as a Hyundai employee, he gets 20% discount since the restaurant is located at the Hyundai Innovation Centre. So with GST and service fees, each person only pay around $70ish for the meal. Even awesome lah. 😀
I ordered samgyetang for my main course and Zijian ordered the fish. It was very nice. One of the course meals has something made with beef stock which I can’t have it so they replaced it with something vegetarian. That’s quite nice of them. Well, it is fine dining after all.
I didn’t manage to take a photo of the samgyetang when they bring the pot over and explained to me. I’m in deep regret over it. 🙁 Does that mean I need to go back again? It’s quite hard to book for the meal and it’s also difficult to get there too. Oh well…

I went to Night Festival with Eunice and Rui Yun this year. It was a good catch up with them as we share our life updates. Just like old friends, we had dinner at a food court before we had Chagee (my first time trying ever since they came back to Singapore recently!) and exploring some of the exhibits at Night Festival 2024.

I had a meet up with my university friends, Randumps clique, recently and we tried the new fried chicken store at Bugis – Daily Chicken.
Rayner, Geck Keat and I went to the Aesop exhibition for the Night Festival during the day time as well. Others were not free or interested to join us for it.

I’m counting my blessings at the work related opportunities that I receive.
Not everyone has a job and not worry about impending layoffs.
Not everyone gets to travel on business trips to other countries.
Not everyone gets budget to study/upskill themselves.
However, as much as I can get these opportunities, there will always be people who are jealous at what I get. I mean… If you don’t ask, you won’t get it, right? If you don’t deliver results, you won’t get it, right? This is a reminder to myself that there will always be jealous, negative and toxic people around.
“Yeah. We are our own person. If people are negative best to limit the interaction.
Cuz we are influenced by the top 5 people we hang out with.”
This is something that one of my mentors, Marie, told me. Not exactly linked to the jealousy I received from my colleagues but something where I asked for advice on.
Obviously people love to see and gossip about the good stuff that others receive, including myself. What others did not realise is the difficult times people have to go through. They also did not realise and did not want to see the amount of hard work people put in to receive these “good opportunities”.
As I grow older, I realised it is even harder to have people around you who truly appreciate what you have and are happy for your accomplishments.
I realised that as I become more self aware and mature, I am gaining more empathy and awareness on the effect of my words and actions. The world of the empathetic is tough.
