I met up with Lijie to go for the Ray Chen recital yesterday. Haven’t met her since JC days which is like 18 years ago. We had dinner at Muji cafe before the concert.

Turned out that my violin teacher, Mrs Masako White, also went for the concert. Mrs Masako was saying that Ray is very charismatic and carries himself very well as a performer. He is made for it. Lijie was saying his build is very good so she thinks he is good looking. Well, I already seem his photos before so I know he is already very good looking. Now that I workout on a regular basis, I can see the kind of muscles he has too. Hahaha. I’m very impressed and it’s no wonder the tickets are on a higher side given that it is only a recital and there’s no orchestra.

This is my first classical concert that I attended post-COVID and I was excited! Even more excited because I am not going alone too. Haha.

I managed to catch the show with Gulabi because Gulabi’s friend, Lasya, got 2 tickets and decided to sell 1 ticket to me. Otherwise, it will be impossible to catch the show.

Definitely my first experience to a comedy show. It was not cheap – US$93.50 and I think it was only 1 hour long. But wow, it is really different watching him live as compared to watching him on Netflix show. Will I go for such shows again? Definitely yes!
