We also went to Tai Kwun which was a prison previously. Not exactly my favourite part of the tour but the architecture is kind of European which kind of fits my liking, I guess?

Will I go there agin? Yes. Will I stay here for a few hours? No. For some reason, the tour guide gave us a very long time (maybe 1 hr or so?) to explore the area which I found it to be too much.

We went to Victoria Peak as part of the tour package that we signed up for. It’s a really great view and we skipped the long queues for the tram rides so I would think it is very worth it to sign up for the tour package to go to Victoria Peak. Highly recommended!

The tram ride is like more than 45 degrees slope upwards. Totally giving San Francisco vibes except that we are seated down/standing instead of climbing up the slope.

The views… simply awesome.

I had to split the travelogue into several parts since I realised I am uploading too many photos in a single post and it is slowly down the loading of the page.

We signed up for a tour and when to Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront area to explore. I enjoyed this part of the tour but will I sign up for a tour just to visit this place? Nah.

It’s my first trip to Hong Kong and it was quite an experience.

I got a flu and sinus infection less than a week away from my flight and didn’t manage to recover in time. Then I still took the flight while having partial blocked nose. It was a terrible experience because I basically got blocked ears after that. Luckily it went away in half a day and I was with my friend, Xiao Wei, at that time. Her presence definitely calmed me down and not make me panicked due to blocked ears.

It was a 5-day trip and since I was not feeling well, I wasn’t able to enjoy much.

Just gonna post the photos here for memories sake. šŸ˜€

Xiao Wei wanted to get her sneakers so we went to the famous Sneaker Street.

The public transit is also quite interesting. There are some similar/exact names of our stations or roads in Hong Kong. Like Admiralty is in North South (red) line in Singapore and it is also red line in Hong Kong!

I have to say the public transit card is so cute!

Something random I spotted while exploring streets at Hong Kong…

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! This year is special because I visited the Christmas city and chanced upon one of the highlights for Christmas attractions when I was just scrolling in New York City.

I also managed to get my first cup of bubble tea from Xing Fu Tang in the same shopping mall. šŸ™‚

I am definitely feeling very blessed this Christmas with so many gifts that I got myself. Well, mainly because of the tech refresh that I needed to replace my gadgets. I’m lucky to get to go to US for work trip this year and went to New York – a city that I have always wanted to visit. It is also the origins of some of the brands that I know and love such as Kiehls, Tiffany and Co and Coach. Of course I got the New York exclusives from Tiffany Landmark store. Haha. šŸ˜€ Most importantly, I get to explore the city and gained new perspectives in life too. Definitely a great way to end my year even though my wallet is like crying. Haha.
