I had my haircut yesterday at The Space Korean Hair Salon. Well, I am not going back to Dusol Beauty hair salon because my usual hairstylist, Mikhaela, is no longer working there. Not sure which hairstylist I can go for but I have been on a lookout for another hairstylist I can go for regularly.
I tried Zinc Korean Hair Salon and somehow I didn’t like that I don’t get to choose my bangs style. The hairstylist, Rena, also cut my hair while it is wet. It gets a bit cold when that happens and I have to request her to blowdry it a little.
So I opt for Jenny at The Space Korean Hair Salon and nope, I am not going back. My haircut wasn’t that bad but it is not worth S$48. She hardly do any layering. In fact, there was no layering until I requested her to cut my back hair shorter and with some layering. Oh well. Not going back there again…
The salon is also quite crowded and I spent quite a bit of time waiting. In the end, the whole thing just took 45mins. Pretty fast for a haircut with wash and blow. It typically take at least 1 hour. Even while blowdrying my hair, the hairstylist were just talking and talking. My hair keeps flying towards my eyes and irritate my eyes so I have to close my eyes.
Oh, the hairstylist is the one who is washing my hair which is quite odd. Usually you will get another person washing your hair and blowdrying your hir.
Well, I didn’t have a good experience at The Space Korean Hair Salon. Cutting hair used to be relaxing with nice head massages and stuff but the experience at The Space Korean Hair Salon is so bad that you might as well go for your S$10 haircut instead. It’s simply too overrated.

It is a bummer that the hair salon wasn’t all that great. At the end of the day, it is important to have a stylist who will really take care of you and give you a cut that fits your frame. My stylist is a bit more on the expensive end but hasn’t been a letdown at all. Hopefully the next salon will be better!
