I have been working on a new theme for ViolinStar.NET these days and judging from how long I have been working on it, it is going to look kind of different from the current theme. I am still going to use the same centralised alignment because I like how it is centered in my Safari and Chrome browsers.

I am still thinking about how I can style the title. Should I use a photo that I took or just leave it empty, like Pawlean?

Hoho. So it’s my free day today and I got some time to tweak my theme settings. Seems like I have been using the old style way of for WordPress comments. Well, that goes to show how much time I have not spent on ViolinStar.NET. Oops. Anyway, I have upgraded it to the Jetpack Comment Management system now and you guys can now comment using your Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus or WordPress accounts. I look forward to seeing the comments made using the new system.

As usual, I will be replying to comments if you leave your blog address. I generally do not reply to comments made on my blog because I don’t want to inflate my number of comments counter.

I might be tweaking the look and feel of the comments for the existing theme so do keep a lookout for it.

I still haven’t recovered from my flu. In fact, I got a throat infection and it worsen 2 days ago. Went to see the doctor 2 days back and got antibiotics. I ended up taking sick leave yesterday and was quite bored at home. However, I managed to get more rest/sleep and is feeling much better now. I probably slept too much in the day time since I can’t sleep now. :sigh: Oh well…

On a side note, the issue with Jetpack is still not fixed. Seems like some connection is blocked at the server end and no solution has been found yet. Hopefully a solution will be found soon.

Sometimes I wonder what I am doing at ViolinStar.NET. Well, I have this domain name for many years (more than 9 years to be exact…) and I still love the name. It started when I was in junior college with the name I didn’t renew it because the renewal fees for .cn domains are expensive. So I decided to go for .com domain name. At that time the name was taken (I think it was not taken now) by some violin/music company. So I opt for the .net version. As it is slightly more difficult to promote a .net domain name at that time cause well, Google prefers .com over .net domain names in terms of page ranking and SEO stuff. So I decided to put “net” in caps in the hope that people will not mistaken my blog address to be I guess over time, I have somehow establish some form of reputation with my online name (Sakura) and ViolinStar.NET. It is kind of similar to goodwill in IP Law terms except that I am not having a business at ViolinStar.NET.

Have you heard of ViolinStar.NET long time ago?

Well, I have quite a number of assignments, readings and class tests to clear in the next few weeks so I guess it is an appropriate time to declare hiatus. I will still be updating links for affiliates if they changed hosts. Just drop me an email or leave a note here and I will update your link on my mobile.

In the meantime, I doubt I will be updating my blog for the next 2 weeks. Maybe I will update my blog with short updates but won’t have time to return comments, etc.

This school semester has been difficult for me and I needed some alone time to catch up with my school work, personal life, music life and of course, corporate work.
